Timelapse #4: What’s Happening to the Cologne Cathedral?

When we visited the city of Cologne, Germany in July 2017, we were enthralled by the medieval architecture, particularly of the Cologne Cathedral. In the thirteenth century it was planned a grand structure to house the reliquary of the Three Kings; that is, the bones of the Biblical Magi. We didn’t see these bones, but suggested to the prelate on site that someone should commission a DNA test on them, like they did with Richard III. Results could reveal intriguing facts, such as whether they lived healthy lives and got lots of exercise. The good father was not enthused.

But back to the cathedral itself. Standing outside on that balmy summer’s day, we noticed something alarming. So we filmed it. Let us know what you think.
